I am leaving for Paris shortly. I have never been and I have only vague idea of what I am going to do when I get there. I rented an apartment in Paris Arrondissement 6. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

I am legally blind in this eye, I have been this way all my life. I have to wonder if not being able to see in stereo (yeah, 3D movies are total loss on me) has shaped the way view the world through my camera.
I recently noticed that the diopter on my camera is at the very edge and will not adjust anymore as my vision (in my “good” eye) changes. If you haven’t experienced it, pressing your glasses against the viewfinder is less than optimal in so many ways. I have thought about contacts, but given my nature I would lose them or forget to take them out etc .. I will take pictures for as long as I can, and then I think the only option is surgery.
Anyone out there have any experience with Lasik? How did it work out for you? Seriously, would love to hear about it.

A new perspective on Flickr.

Using a new set of tools as of this week. A 5D Mark II, Photoshop 6 and Lightroom 4. The camera definitely has its own personality and Photoshop 6 has a new flavor to it as well. I havn’t decided how I feel about this image yet, but want to keep track of any changes in the end product of my images with the assortment of creative devices.
