Who are you (Flood)?

Who are you?
People call me Flood, it’s a long story. If you buy me a drink, I am happy to tell it to you sometime.

What do you do?
Recently I started actively avoiding the quantify, validate, repeat cycle of justification. I have a job so that I can create art and sometimes creating art is my job.

If I spend too many days without looking through the viewfinder, I start to feel wrong, detached I guess.

Everything about a camera is appealing to me; It feels like a versatile weapon in my hands, firing off a few rounds is better than the first cigarette of the day & I love the smell of fixer in the morning.

Guns, cigarettes and “Apocalypse Now”, a charming analogy isn’t it? The truth is, I am not a big fan of guns and I kicked the smoking habit a few years ago, but photography… yeah, I am completely hooked on it.

The amazing thing is - it never gets boring. There’s a whole new world to explore every time I pick up a camera.

What do you shoot?
Lately - I shoot people. I love to see what happens when a model, my minds eye and the camera all get on the same page for a 1/125 of a second.

Can I buy or license any or your work?
Yes, please! If you see something you like, please let me know. I work with a great lab and can have almost any of my work printed in various sizes, matted, signed and shipped to you - by me.
